Erik’s DeliCafé of Aptos is celebrating the 10th year anniversary of Aptos History Museum. On June 28, between 10am and 8pm, when you dine at Erik’s in Aptos, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Aptos History Museum.
The Aptos History Museum, which opened it’s doors in 2005, has provided residents and visitors with great stories, artifacts, tours and presentations for an entire decade. It will continue to share it’s rich history as well as be the field trip destination for third graders to learn about their local history.
The museum unofficially started back in the 1980s when John and Karen Hibble started receiving historical items donated by community members. As their collection started to grow, they realized these items needed to be shared with the local community. Aptos, although a relatively compact area expanding just a few square miles, is filled with rich and fascinating history. Now adults and children alike are able to participate in learning about the Aptos Village, Rio Del Mar, Seascape, and many other destinations and their beginnings.
Help support the museum by dining at Erik’s DeliCafé of Aptos on June 28 and check out Aptos’ rich history at Aptos History Museum.
